Program Name: 2026 College of Earth Sciences / Graduate Institute of Applied Geology Undergraduate Summer Research Internship
- Number of Students: 5 (required 2 recommendation letters)
- Duration: July 15 – August 14, 2026 (approximately 4 weeks; flexible start/end dates possible depending on project)
- Location: National Central University campus (Zhongli, Taoyuan) + potential field sites in Taiwan
- Target Participants: Undergraduate (bachelor’s degree) students currently enrolled in earth sciences, geology, environmental science, civil/water resource engineering, or related fields (preferably 3rd–4th year)
- Language: Primarily English for international or English-track participants
Key Features & Activities:

- Join a faculty-led research project (e.g., soil and groundwater analysis, landslide susceptibility mapping, fault zone investigation, or carbon capture/geothermal studies)

- Hands-on experience with field sampling, field/laboratory experiments, including hydraulic/mechanical/geochemical analysis, GIS, and modeling.

- Weekly lab meetings, seminars, and progress discussions

- Possible participation in institute/college-wide talks or short field excursions

- Final poster/oral presentation and certificate of completion.
