Graduate and undergraduate students of Oceanology major had a memorable trip to Can Gio Mangrove Forest on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

The first destination on the journey was Monkey Island Can Gio, where Ms. Phuoc introduced the Can Gio Biosphere Reserve and the characteristics of mangrove species. They also visited the crocodile area – a typical reptile in the mangrove forest. They observed the typical monkeys here. They also learned about the Rung Sat Special Zone – a place associated with the D-10 Special Military Zone.

Next, they visited the coastal protection structures on the Can Gio coast. Ms. Phuoc introduced the coastal protection structures and their different functions. In addition, Ms. Phuoc also introduced the hydrodynamic factors affecting this area. In addition, they also hear stories about her experiences and memorable surveys in this area.

They had valuable experiences through the field trip to Can Gio Mangrove Forest.
