On the morning of October 11, the University of Science, VNU-HCM had the honor of hosting representatives from the National Central University (NCU), Taiwan, for a meaningful academic exchange. The event was attended by Prof. Chien Hwa from the College of Earth Sciences, NCU, along with faculty members, students, and graduate students from the Department of Oceanology, Meteorology, and Hydrology.
The exchange featured lively discussions on various cooperation and research opportunities:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Luong Hong Phuoc introduced the Department of Oceanology, Meteorology, and Hydrology, emphasizing its research collaborations and teaching activities.
- Prof. Chien Hwa presented Taiwan’s latest developments in capacity building of offshore wind energy and coastal radar monitoring systems. He also introduced the Graduate College of Sustainability and Green Energy (SAGE), along with its training programs and opportunities for postgraduate scholarships.
At the end of the event, Prof. Chien Hwa conducted interviews with potential candidates for postgraduate studies at SAGE, Taiwan.
The meeting not only provided valuable academic insights but also opened up prospects for future research collaborations between the two universities, while offering promising study abroad opportunities for students. This event is expected to lay the groundwork for stronger connections in the fields of science and research.
