Do you know that coastlines are constantly changing? These changes can be caused by natural or human factors.
The “Changing Coasts” class is a deep dive into the changes of coastlines, including causes, impacts, and solutions. The class is open to anyone interested in coastal processes, climate change and marine environmental issues.
The class will be held from 13 November to 25 November 2023 at University of Sciences, VNU-HCM. The instructors are leading experts in oceanography, climate change and marine conservation. The instructors come from the University of Sciences, VNU-HCM, University of Tasmania and Hokkaido University.
The class will cover the following topics:
- Estuarine hydrodynamics, and coastal processes
- Coastal sea level fluctuations
- Influence of climate change on mangroves
- Modelling in QGIS – Sea level rise
- Trace gases in marine environments
