In order to provide additional information to enhance students’ supplementary skills before graduation, the Department of Oceanology, Meteorology, and Hydrology organized a workshop on “Workplace Communication Skills” on October 3, 2024. This session aimed to help students better understand the importance of communication in the workplace, as well as grasp the skills and principles of professional communication.
The workshop welcomed guest speakers with extensive experience in human resources management and workplace communication in the fields of Oceanography, Meteorology, and Hydrology: Dr. Lê Văn Tuấn from Institute of Coastal and Offshore Engineering, Dr. Phạm Thị Mai Thy from Ho Chi Minh City Space Technology Application Center, and M.Sc. Nguyễn Minh Giám from Southern Regional Hydro-Meteorological Center.
The guest speakers shared their experiences, ranging from daily interactions to conflict resolution at work. Engaging discussions and real-life scenarios were shared, helping the attending students gain a clearer understanding of how to build and maintain a positive and professional work environment. Moreover, the students acquired many important skills for their future careers.
The sincere contributions of the guest speakers, combined with the enthusiastic participation of the students, made for a successful and meaningful exchange!
