Signing of cooperation agreement between University of Science, VNU-HCM and University of Silesia, Poland

On November 14, the University of Natural Sciences, VNU-HCM held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with the University of Silesia in Katowice (USIL), Poland. The event took place within the framework of the 20th Anniversary of the Oceanography Department, with the participation of leaders of the two schools, representatives of faculties and departments, and a large number of lecturers and students.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed to enhance academic exchanges, promote training and research cooperation and expand scientific development opportunities between the two higher education institutions. The cooperation contents focus on the exchange of undergraduate and graduate students, creating conditions for learners to access international training environments, experience practical research, and improve professional capacity. In addition, the two schools agreed to increase the exchange of lecturers and researchers in interdisciplinary teaching and research activities, contributing to broadening the academic vision and international experience for the professional team.

In the field of scientific research, HCMUS and USIL aim to implement joint cooperation projects, build inter-school research groups, and jointly organize international seminars and conferences to promote knowledge sharing, expand the network of experts and improve the quality of scientific publications. The two sides also agreed to exchange learning materials, scientific publications and academic resources to support training, research, and program development activities.

The signing of the MoU between the University of Natural Sciences, VNU-HCM and the University of Silesia in Katowice marks a new step in the internationalization strategy of the University, while opening up more opportunities for study, research and academic exchange for students and lecturers. The cooperation is expected to contribute to improving the quality of training, strengthening international integration and promoting the strengths of the two universities in the fields of natural sciences, environment and interdisciplinary research.
